Dan's Platform

My background is finance, hospitality, small business and civil construction. Throughout my 35 years living in our electorate and working with various groups and residents, I have developed strong links within the community. I was the Area Co-Ordinator of the Aberfoyle Park Neighbourhood Watch Group 491, and was presiding when we achieved support and approval for 50 km/h speed reminder stickers to be put on the kerb side bins along minor arterial roads in the Hub. I have been involved in a local kindergarten and I am also involved in my children's' school community and governance.

I am against selling and privatising our states assets, which ALL major parties have shown they are for selling this state out as evidenced by their sales of MAC, SA Lotteries, and SA Lands and Titles Office, ETSA +more...

I also wish to see changes that result in lower cost of living pressures, especially electricity and water, reforms that will assist small business, and measures that will help improve the efficiency of the public sector, but without frontline staff, eg; teachers, police, nurses losing their jobs. I will be advocating improvements to schools, hospitals, roads, and public transport and measures that help and support retirees and pensioners.

I'm raising a family and have lived in our electorate since birth, I'm a very proud father of three, a 13 year old daughter, a 9 year old son and 1 year old daughter who attend local public schools. 

I am a genuine true local and was born at Flinder's Medical Centre, as were my daughters. I attended Aberfoyle Park schools and I am in tune with the tools and equipment our community needs to better educate our children and to provide supportive opportunities and public health outcomes.

My work in the community has given me a deep understanding of the issues that resonate. I am acutely aware of the impacts to our businesses and wider community caused by the ongoing algae bloom and asbestos in our schools. Impacts and disruptions which continue to be felt by local families. I will work towards providing support and to encourage community driven initiatives and will continue to advocate on behalf of you.

I am a determined, hardworking, and driven individual who feels strongly that to achieve a better electorate it is imperative that Davenport take a leap and become Independent. I know that the way we manage our state and our environment today will have a huge impact on the future for us, and our children.
